The Davaki Square

It is the square that is located at the beginning of high streets of Metropolis and St. . Athanasius in front of the courthouse. Years ago, the area of the was a part of the "Lower Market" and "Bazaar". In place of the courthouse there were the Turkish prison where earlier there were the doors of the castle. The current form has nothing to do with the older layouts. After the liberation, in 1912 various works took place (demolition of some parts of the castles, demolition of the . stores). It was extended and area was reformed.A courthouse was built In place of the Turkish prison . The room did not have a different name. When the square was constructed and the statue of the hero Con. Davaki was erected in 1953, the square was named "Davaki Square".
